Ever dedicated to peace, love, and harmony, Ringo Starr had one request for his birthday: peace and love. During the bash celebrating his 72nd birthday at the Nashville Hard Rock Café on Saturday, the former Beatle met up with fans and asked that they raise two fingers in the air and shout, "peace and love."

The musician extended the gesture to fans everywhere, requesting on his website that wherever they were at 12:00 in their time zone they do the same. “Wherever you are,” Starr wrote, “On a bus, in the office, in the studio, hanging out…whatever you’re doing at noon, just go ‘Peace and Love.’ That’s all I ask for my birthday – peace and love.”
