Gene Simmons Pays Tribute to War Vets on “Family Jewels”

Jul 11, 2012 at 3:48 PM | MusicNews | By Rock Square

On the July 9 episode of Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels, Gene Simons paid tribute to veterans. The episode—titled “Kiss a Vet”—features a stop at Simmons’ restaurant Rock & Brews (http://rockandbrews.com/), an establishment noted for making it a priority to hire vets.  (If you look closely, you might be able to spot a Rock Square staffer in her t-shirt at the restaurant in the first few minutes of the episode)

Later, Simmons discovers a musical group called “Rock for Vets.” The rocker joins the group for a gig, and even gives a member a job at his restaurant. Not to be outdone, Shannon, their daughter Sophie, and Shannon’s sister Tracy, all agree to be photographed for the “Pinups for Vets” program.
