We’re still waiting for official confirmation from the Rush camp, but multiple outlets are reporting that the Canadian prog trio will be releasing their latest concert film, Clockwork Angels Live, on May 21 via Concord Records. The document will feature footage shot at the US Airways Center in Phoenix on November 25 and at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on November 28.

Fan site Rush Is A Band says that “delays in the release date are likely,” but a May date makes a lot of sense, given that Rush’s 2013 European tour kicks off that month.

This is shaping up to be another very busy year for Rush. In addition to that live DVD and those European dates, the band is planning yet another North American tour in support of Clockwork Angels. “We are now making plans for more dates in the spring and summer of 2013 in North America,” the band promised on its website last month. “So stay tuned for more announcements. Looking forward to seeing you out on the road again soon!”

And on March 1, a special audiobook edition of Kevin J. Anderson’s Clockwork Angels novel will be released. Described as “a beautiful and functional design piece that will be a must-have for Rush fans and steampunkers alike,” Clockwork Angels: The Watchmaker’s Edition will feature the unabridged audiobook packaged in a working upright clock tower.

This is all not to mention the impending Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which takes place on April 18 and will finally deliver Rush into that rarified air of rock royalty.
