Dave Grohl and Stevie Nicks Celebrate Rock And Roll Hall of Fame on 'The Tonight Show'

Apr 7, 2014 at 11:54 AM | Music News | By Rock Square

After months of mounting hype and ever-increasing KISS family drama, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will finally induct their Class of 2014 during a ceremony at the Barclays Center in New York City this Thursday. HBO won’t be televising the proceedings until May, but the Rock Hall’s biggest night will spill over into TV land this week via The Tonight Show, which will be celebrating the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with a roster of musical guests culled from this year’s list of inductees.

Host Jimmy Fallon will welcome Cat Stevens to The Tonight Show’s New York stage on Tuesday night, while Wednesday night will find Nirvana’s Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic making a rare public appearance together. Stevie Nicks, who will be performing at this year’s induction ceremony, is listed as Wednesday night’s musical guest, so odds are pretty good that Grohl and Novoselic won’t be doing much more than chatting with Fallon, but who knows – Grohl and Nicks did recently collaborate on rock-doc Sound City, so maybe they’re cooking up a surprise.

Fallon and company will conclude their Rock Hall week on Friday with a post-ceremony performance by KISS. As you must know, KISS will not be performing at Thursday night’s shindig, so their Tonight Show appearance will have to suffice as a victory lap and is bound to be a great show.

The Tonight Show airs every weeknight on NBC at 11:35/10:35.
