Getting to Know the Goods from Copperpeace

Nov 30, 2012 at 5:35 PM | Rock Square News | By Rock Square

A guitar without a strap is like a song without a tune. Or like the sun without the moon. Or like peanut butter without jelly. Or like...you get the picture. Of course, one can take a seat and shred sans strap, but when you’re playing the leading role in a rock star dream, you’re probably standing up with a glimmering axe strapped to your person.

A guitar strap is a downright essential accoutrement, and so we're happy to welcome the fine strap-makers at Copperpeace to the Rock Square Marketplace.

Based in sunny Los Angeles, Copperpeace crafts guitar straps and other music accessories out of environmentally responsible leather using unique custom designs. All products are made in the USA and each item is quality-checked by a skilled artisan before it makes its way to you and your gear.

Since we’re winding down our November Electric Guitar Giveaway, we're particularly keen on shareing some of the Copperpeace straps that would look great with the Epiphone SG Special that's going to one lucky winner tomorrow!

There’s this Vintage May Retro Leather number, for instance, which sports a throwback design adorning a strap made from “premium baseball glove leather”.

And we’re also quite enamored with the Old Style Skinny Guitar Strap. Made out of premium belt leather and replicating the look of the classic Les Paul strap, this one looks as good on acoustic guitars as it does on electric ones.

The cool thing about Copperpeace is that they also put their skills to use making quality leather goods for people who might not need guitar gear and, instead, are opting for music fashion.

Folks in the Rock Square office have been coveting the "Only One" Portfolio Bag, a black leather purse big enough to carry a laptop and outfitted with interior pockets for pens, phones, iPads and tablets.

Musicians like to say “it’s all about the music”, but come on: looking sharp is pretty important too. So head on over to Copperpeace and get yourself (and your guitar, gal, guy, or all of the above) something nice!
