Last month, new Rock Square members and site veterans alike entered our November Guitar Giveaway. And once again, we’d like to thank you all for participating. As we announced in the first week of December, the lucky winner of the lovely Epiphone SG Special was BobG-JAM.

When BobG-JAM found out he won, he informed us  (and the rest of the Rock Square community) that he was planning on giving the guitar to his daughter.

This was enough to make us curious about our contest winner, so we got in touch with BobG-JAM and asked him to fill us in.

His real name is Bob Garaffa, and he’s been playing guitar and bass for over thirty years.

“I still play out and I am looking forward to releasing some tunes as I still love to write and perform live,” Garaffa told us.

And it sounds like Garaffa intends to pass his love of music down to his daughter.

“I am teaching [my daughter] Abby the fundamentals of music and guitar,” he explains.

“She is pretty articulate and a very fast learner! The young rockin’ chick may have some potential--we’ll see!”
