WIN a Butterscotch Blonde Fender Squier Telecaster!

Oct 1, 2013 at 11:41 AM | Rock Square News | By Rock Square

They say blondes have more fun and we couldn’t agree more. In fact, blondes and rock ‘n’ roll go together like Mick and Keith. As shock rocker, Alice Cooper once stated, “The hippies wanted peace and love. We wanted Ferraris, blondes and switchblades.”

While we don’t have a Ferrari or a switchblade, we did manage to get our hands on this blonde bombshell that you’ll never get tired of listening to – a brand new Fender Squier Butterscotch Blonde Telecaster®.  Want to take her home? You’re in luck because we’re offering this Tele up to ONE lucky community member.

Since its debut in the early 1950s, musicians have relied on the Fender Telecaster for its powerful, rich tone and stable playability to produce that distinctive Tele twang. As the first mass-produced electric guitar, the Telecaster, originally known as the Esquire® and then Broadcaster®, has had its smooth sounds conjured by numerous guitarists in nearly every musical genre – most notably: Muddy Waters, The Boss, Bob Dylan, George Harrison and of course – Pete Townshend.

However, it was probably riff machine Keith Richards and his “Micawber” that turned the Tele into the quintessential rock ‘n’ roll guitar. Or maybe it was Jimmy Page’s Stairway to Heaven solo that paved way for this classic guitar's superiority? Nonetheless, the Telecaster ‘started it all’ allowing musicians to play louder, harder and smoother than ever before.

Modeled after Fender’s  Esquire, which was first issued in 1950, the Affinity Series Squier Telecaster features Fender’s classic double-cutaway design, two vintage-style single-coil pickups with three-way switching, smooth-playing maple fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets and a '50s vintage-style headstock – retailing for  $279.99.

Whether it’s Keef, Pete or Page playing, the tactical engineering and classic design of this Telecaster can be heard loud and clear – literally.

Now, with all this Tele talk, we bet you’re wondering what you have to do to call this blonde your own – entering to win is as easy as clicking HERE.
